Question: Has Congress passed a bill dealing with mandatory IRA withdrawals for 2008 and 2009?
The rule presently requires those 70 and half to take mandatory distributions from their IRA based on the value at the end of the previous tax year. Because 2008 was such a bad year for the market, various persons have proposed not requiring these distributions
